It would seem that Clayton knows when Brendan is out of town and I'm on single-mommy duty. The kid won't go to bed at night!! It drives me crazy, especially when I have to be up at 3am for work. The night before it was 1:30am, and last night it was a little after 11pm. Someone please get that kid a sleeping pill!! Just kidding....
We survived Thanksgiving. My mom and Ian came down to Albert Lea to have dinner at the Danielsen's with us. This was the very first holiday in our 11 year existance together that our families have spent a holiday together. I was SO happy that my mom decided she would go down with us. She's missing Adam and Marissa and I think just wanted to be with the boys. Anyway, it was a success, so hopefully we can do more holidays together!
Since my last update Brendan and I went to the Bahamas....I'll write about that one of these days. My camera took a ride on a wave and died a sudden death, so no pics were taken after the first 2 days.
I bought a sewing machine too, so now I can start trying to sew. I'm hoping to get a few lessons in with my mom during Christmas. I also want her to teach me how to knit when she's down here too. I've made some more fun stuff...I'm finishing up a wreath, and made hand and foot turkeys for the boys.

As in....this is my first time ever blogging!! I have quite a few friends that blog, so I decided to get on the bandwagon and give it a try as well.
I'll talk about Brendan, the kids (and all the trials and tribulations that come with having 2 kids 21 months apart), our adventures and travels along with anything else I think is cool.
One of the big things I want to share on here is my quest to become a "crafty" mom. I want to start making fun activities for Clayton and Ashton, and when they gets a little bigger, can help me make them as well. I've been working on a "busy bag" for him, but it's still a work in progress. I also want to get into sewing. I got a bug up my butt and now when I go to Michaels and Joann Fabrics I see TONS of stuff I want to do. It'll probably be hard to find time, but I need something that isn't work or taking care of the kids. It will be a good naptime activity.
A quick update on the family:
Brendan has been doing awesome with Shaklee. He got back from his first incentive trip that took him to Bora Bora for 8 days. It was a long time for him to be gone, but he had a great time. Then he was off to CA for 4 days for a New Directors Confrence. In 6 days the two of us are heading on his second incentive trip to the Bahamas!! He's gone a lot, but it's worth it for what our future holds. He's an awesome daddy, and although he's had to make some sacrifices, he makes it up when he can. He gets to wake up with the boys and hang out with them until noon everyday during the week.
Clayton turned 2 in September and is the craziest kid in the world. I love him to death. My current phrase about him is that he's 97% angel and 3% piss and vinegar. He's starting to talk a ton and is stringing 3 words together, but his favorite is saying "NO!". He understands more than what we give him credit for. He lives and breathes by Super Why!, but Thomas the Train is coming in a close second these days. It's taken him a while to decide he likes Ashton and still has his moments, but he's a wonderful big brother. I would say he's a carbon copy of Brendan when it comes to sports. The kid can hit a ball and throw like a pro and is pretty good at making baskets with his basketball hoop. Can you say "college scholarship"? :o)
Ashton just turned 4 months and is the happiest baby there is. He's very content and has been sleeping through the night for a while now. There's nothing better than going in his room in the morning and having him smile at you. It melts my heart. Brendan and I think he's going to end up taller than Clayton....he's moving into 6 months clothes here pretty quick and is a beast! Sometimes I look at him and miss my tiny baby, but it's fun to watch him grow and turn into an infant. I suck at tummy time, so he's not rolling yet. Maybe next month.
As for me, I started my new job back at Boston Scientific on 10/10/11. I'm so happy to be back and working where my medical device career started. It was hard to leave CSI after almost 4 years, but this was a good decision for me and my family. Plus, I get to work with my aunt again, so that right there makes it worth while!! I'm so excited to be taking this trip to the Bahamas. I've never been anywhere outside the continental US (Canada, but I don't think that counts), let alone a tropical destination. It's just Brendan and I going.....so yes, that means for the first time I won't be with my babies. Guess it's time to cut the cord. Life is good and just keeps getting better for us. I wouldn't change anything!!!
I think that's it for now....I hope everyone has a wonderful day!!
